The new 3rd edition of LotsaFreshAir navigation book is brilliant! I have her original version but this updated one, with how to navigate using digital technology is very helpful. The section on Traditional navigation is really interesting too. This is a very useful guide with lots of easy to understand information and tips about how to navigate in the Australian bush. Highly recommend!

This book is very well written, easy to follow and Caro takes you on a journey that is addictive. The book’s design is inclusive, doesn’t make you feel like an idiot. I have some experience with navigation, this book has cleared up many unknowns.
It’s a great book and, in my opinion, suits all levels of experience. Definitely worth having in your “outdoorsy” repertoire.

Great book, well explained. Lots of areas in Tassie with no mobile coverage and even with downloaded maps I always worry about losing or damaging my phone. I’d hate the embarrassment of having to be rescued just because I got lost – so I’m learning all about the traditional method of navigation in the bush.
