Over two jam-packed days you’ll learn some of the skills essential for off and on track navigation and build your confidence in finding your way in the bush and making wise decisions in an outdoor environment.
I’m stoked to be working with Blue Mountains Climbing School to teach this course for the LotsaFreshAir community. I’ve designed it especially for us!
We’ll go deep on learning to read a topographic map and then become comfortable with using a compass – oh! and we give you a map and compass to keep! From route planning to estimating time and distance, to taking bearings, triangulation and loads of tips n’ tricks, this course is designed for people with little or no navigation experience, to build a solid foundation for outdoors adventure.
